Ladies and Gentlemen: the "Vulva String Quartett" rolls out the house-carpet once again in order to redefine â by presenting thrilling essences of tunes â the discredited word POP in a fresh and individual way. Under his alias âłStatic", Berlin producer Hanno Leichtmann is well-known for his clicking electronic pop and he also relaxedly swings the drumsticks in the liveband of "Pole". And above all and under his real name, he recently presented grand accentuations of ambiente with the longplayer âNuit du Plombâ released on the Berlin label "Karaoke Kalk". With the "Vulva String Quartett" and on "Combination Records" Leichtmann makes a poppy-house sound as a present to the world. Sharp-wittedly playful 4-to-the-floor-beats are stomping to intoxicating synthie sounds, agile electronic tones and deep soundtrack-atmospheres. Never too hard, always catchy and definitely extremely seductive. With its first beats, the opener âCranberryâ makes everything very clear: the bassline is drifting easily and warm melodies are indulging the senses. And everything with an easy-going portion of disco funk and extremely thrilling â but never too bulky â beats. With âRound Aboutâ Leichtmann thoghtfully actuates the house-carrousel. Once again, exhilarating melodies are flying around, buzzing with contained acid-power. Cuddly pop-house, strolling around extremely deep. âCloudseedingâ however, is driving on a different road â even though house is dictating the laid-back beat. In this case, discreet guitars, atmospheric soundtrack scapes and a sweeping synthie melody are transforming club music into some sort of digital dance-folk that is screaming for the green countryside. But don`t worry: barefooted hippies will probably avoid his drumloops! For the babies have to be electronic ones, if they want to shake their hips to the rhythm of the "Vulva String Quartett".
