There you are. The third part of our compilation Traffic III is a special one. All the guys appearing on it are not regularly publishing on Combination Records. This 10" is a split maxi by two pruducers interpreting the musical approach of house and techno in the most different way. Both of them can look back on a long and eventful discography and Lowtec and Dazko (Aka Daze Maxim) show us what can occur between two bass drums without overloading the tracks with effects. They pull both ends of minimalism until everybody has understood that minimal is just yet a profane description of “direct”. Chord Memory — a deeeep, endless elegiac house-tune — presents a Lowtec in top form who makes it possible to visualize even the most gentle “whoops” on the dancefloor by using the piano, basses for strings and rough and cutting hi-hats. Timeless house music between Pepé Braddock and Norken. Dazko kicks an ultra slick future-funk with a groove that thinks outside the box and is being held together by the very sexy vocals. It goes without saying that the division into A and B side is just a formal one.In the two previous traffic-infos, we said: “From the beginning, the denomination Traffic was a synonym for movement and change. And that you can join in. The records are documents of this changes that occur step by step. Whether the emphasis lies on the music in terms of time (future music, retro, music of this time...) or in terms of style (breakbeat, minimal, detroit, whatever...), Traffic III is the product of the encounter between musicians, DJs, (graphic) artists, bookers, clubs and all the other “crazy” folks that can`t stop meeting us. Or that we can`t leave alone. Musically or personally.”Both musicians fall in this category that won`t/can`t represent a concept. The contact with Lowtec was made out of the fan-perspective. He had already inspired us with his remix for Swimmingpool`s "Chic Plaza" and his perspective on rare groove-house.Daze Maxim is a colleague from Düsseldorf and his appearence on Combination Records was long overdue. Also, thanks to Jan Krüger of Hello?Repeat and Christian Glagla.
