UNDERDUCKS... the graphic art & music project by Combination Records
In order to celebrate the occasion of the label’s seventh anniversary,we did two things. Number one: we released the sampler Underducks, featuring musicians such as Jake The Rapper, Matt Flores, Considerate Builders Scheme, Douglas Greed, Norken, Swimmingpool, The Vulva String Quartett, Kabuki and Christopher Just. Number two: we sentout six emails to six of our most appreciated designers from all over Europe, asking them to come up with unique t-shirt prints based onthe cover art of “Underducks”. The designs from artist like the Cyprus-basedillustrator Kabegami, Lousy Livin-designer Stefan Marx or Dutch writerlegend Zedz will only be produced in small numbers and are exclusivelyavailable as works of art printed on cotton fabric. The only way to get a hold of one these pièces de résistance – each limited to a mere hundred copies – is to buy one at the touring exhibition accompanying the “Underducks” release in selected European Carhartt stores. Only in places where the sampler is introduced will this rare merchandise be on offer. The t-shirtdesigns will also be presented there in large-size reproductions. Of course we will organize Combination Labelnights alongside the Exhibition
