Founded in 2001 in old Europe, Germany, Düsseldorf, during the last few years Combination has planted itself between all the other trees in blossom of the clubmusic-garden, without being swallowed up by any kind of musical dogma. In electronic music, the sound is usually determined by the label but in our case the present-day "state of art" is ruled exclusively by the act currently released. That fact sometimes turns the sequence of releases into a ride with a roller coaster when a advanced-minimal-techno production is followed by the firing of a drum&bass-rocket, only to be slowed down again by a downbeat-album. But that`s the way we want it and that`s good! While the vinyl-maxis are aiming at dancefloor and exploring the puristic sites of the electronic music fields, the artist`s albums, for the most part, indicate to what extent clubmusic has grown to be the background for a successful pop-cultural overall plan. Every single Combination album is, in its own way, a blueprint of a specific electronic clubmusic segment and an expression of the effort to deliver a general rule. And every release enlarges the array.
