With these four tracks, Norken`s Future Blue EP provides a foretaste of various sides of his album Our memories of winter which will be released in october (Core 035-1 dual 12", Core 035-2 CD).
Df23 starts like the classical norken-house-tune but - with its opposing piano and key-chords - heads off in direction Theo Parrish and Lowtec.
Tony Vision is one of Lee Norris` alter egos and it`s the alter ego which makes you possibly think about asking Barry White to take over the mike and running yourself a bath thereafter. His version of the album-track Eastern Soul is the kind of house-music that wraps you up in silk bedclothes while it ecstasizes you with a steady mumbling and astonishingly rock-like bassline. Zen house, ladies!
MXM: Max, a friend of Lee Norris, is just starting his new label amp-art with his first release (Dislok8ed Science EP : www.amp-art.com) and is working on an IDM-album on Neo Ouija. His Eastern Soul remix leads, with its classical-pumping-minimal-techno-formula, to a different dancefloor. His track is hopping in an open minded, friendly and warm way just like those pieces of music that ALWAYS fit into your set because there is always some time left for a strings-showdown.
Flirt is a very unusual Norken-track that takes off at 136bpm with those endless sound-plains - leaving dry marks upon Detroit`s dancefloors.
