Douglas Greed
Aenima/ Ball Date

This is Douglas Greed’s personal Star-Wars record. 2 sides, which evoke the ambivalent, fascinating power of good and evil. He swings his electronic-beat-lightsaber all around the Ying and the Yang. Side A stands for the sundown or „„coke & bitches“ and hence side B stands for the dawn or „„snuggle & dream“!
And the good thing is: the dear entertainer’s rolling suitcase contains a musical treasure, and when he feels like, he can take out those two tunes. Because nowadays, a good floor needs both sentiments. And such a sophisticated repertoire is very comfortable – in terms of effectively hitting the feet on the floor with its deep sounds.
And beyond that, if you have tolerant neighbors, no neighbors or some that love to listen to club music, both tracks function perfectly at home, too. Here a suggestion: take „Aenima“ to clean your place up in a flash and „Ball Date“ when you are staying awake – doing whatever you do – all through the night to sunrise…
Side A:
Using a tempo that’s quite restrained for an actual techno track, it progressively drives a psychotic curse into your head – one that makes your smile become real nasty. And the evil inside your head turns into passionate moves of your feet. I bet! Everything is possible on this floor – in case the condensation water already runs down the walls in streams.
Seite B: Pushing very low, carried by an irresistible melody, which is not made out of fragments but is a whole composition. Oh, how great that is! Because it means the chance of timelessness. A piece of music, everybody will remember for years. Brainy dancefloor beats at their best. Go on, love and dance as much as you can!
Take two, and keep moving!
With kind regards
Oliver Goldt
