Please, dress warm for the first summer album
Do you remember? Summer last year took place as the holidays were over and we all were in the wrong movie again. No wonder: would we have been summer, we would also have refused getting hot. A certain album did not come out and without it, no summer gets into the groove. This year though, summer will be hot, because the long-awaited record is finally there: the second album of Dadamnphreaknoizphunk. The perfect soundtrack for the hot season!
There is music, that feels like furniture. Than there is music, that feels like means of transportation. And there is music, that feels like clothing. It fits like a glove, it is hip and still cosy: Track after track future favourite garments. You pull them on and won`t take them off again. They accompany you everywhere and you will be asked: "What is it, who is this? Is this new? Will it fit me too? Who made this? Where can I buy it?"
Of course, you have all the answers. Yes, it is new. But not really. And it is so big, it`ll fit anyone. It`s tailored by Dadamnphreaknoizphunk, who are Oliver Bondzio and Ramon Zenker, who are Hardfloor. Combination has it, and of course you can have it too. You even should!
Support your local combination - Combine your local supporters
Think global, act local. Artists of world fame meet an idea with future. Combination as a huge road safety practice area, where even experienced pilots can learn to overtake again. Dadamnphreaknoizphunk are on the road on a unique, extremely comfortable vehicle: a deepdopebeatsamplediggerlowrider with lots of space for travelling clothes.
From Hall of Fame to House of Ease: Dadamnphreaknoizphunk
As Hardfloor, Oliver Bondzio and Ramon Zenker are firmly cemented in the history of music. They are the longest-serving, most famous and renowned German techno act with a legendary reputation as deadly kicking live players. Their trademark: an also not to remotely well known bass synthesizer from the Far East. The kids in Japan bring their 303 to Hardfloor concerts to have them autogrammed by their button spinning heroes.
Mid nineties the world became too small for Hardfloor. Not a bad time to create a new world. Ladies and Gentlemen, Hardfloor presents Dadamnphreaknoizphunk! The first EP in 1995 was titled Harthouse, after which in 1997 a second EP appeared. In 1999 the first album followed on !K7. DJ Oliver Bondzio, who socialized with hiphop and electro, had milked a collection and roasted all samples that burned on his tables.
Living will be easy: Take Off Da Hot Da Hot Sweater
And now the story continues with Combination Records. Higher, faster, further according to Dadamnphreaknoizphunk: deeper, phatter, well-hung. Heavy, deep hiphop riddims meet electroid sounds. Dubby dope beats are given a partly technoid arrangement. A whole club night with nothing but highlights on one single sofa evening. Dadamnphreaknoizphunk rock your couch muscles, train your head bobbing.
The intro takes you by the hand and guides you into the world of Dadamnphreaknoizphunk. Come down, make yourself free, try anything on and you will see it`ll fit. One Size Fits All, the first track, the whole program. Pearly harmonies, revelling strings and, ah, this arrangement. You want more and you are glad that the trip only just got started.
A smart piano here, a bouncing bass there, a dying away saxophone here, a decent flugelhorn there. And every time again - when everything is paradise already - you can hear her: the queen of plastic boxes, empress of synthetic sound production, goddess of good taste. Sprinkled in, put underneath, breathed over: your personal 303! No one drops acid as smooth as Dadamnphreaknoizphunk, nothing rocks so relaxed as their new album Take Off Da Hot Da Hot Sweater.
